We got up before 5am on January 5 in order to visit the Khijadiya Bird Sanctuary. After the bird sanctuary, we returned to the home of Doctors Jasmine and Sumitra Rathi for breakfast and to celebrate Prakash's birthday. Congratulations to Prakash on his 76 birthday! In the afternoon, we visited multiple Rotary projects, among them, a school for mentally handicapped children and a clinic where cleft lip surgeries are performed. In the evening we had several industrial visits as Jamnagar is known for its brass industries. At night, we had a joint dinner where we celebrated Prakash's birthday once again.
